In making every child’s potential a reality, Texas PTA realizes that we must nurture the many different pieces of the “whole child.” For more than 100 years, PTA has focused on programs that support children and families in all aspects of our daily lives. www.txpta.org
The Emerging Leaders Academy is an opportunity to identify and support dedicated volunteers from diverse backgrounds, while equipping them with skills to become effective, successful leaders within PTA and throughout their communities. This series of four, one-day sessions will provide participants with proven strategies in outreach, communication, advocacy and family engagement.
Kids First-Kids First is a turn-key program that gives students and families insight into the daily lives of those with unique abilities, such as autism, dyslexia and ADHD. This program consists of several hand-on experiences, and is a great tool to help build a culture of understanding and acceptance.
